The Baerlocher Group of Companies is to expand its laboratory facilities at its Lingen, Germany and Akhisar, Turkey sites.

The company will invest significantly in the expansion of its laboratory facilities for its EU/MEA business.

The project will involve the construction of new laboratory facilities in both locations, utilising state of the art equipment to continue servicing key regional customers and supporting global business growth in its strategic business units Special Additives and PVC Additives.

The expansion in Lingen will support customers for all Polymer and non-Polymer applications, whilst the new facilities in Turkey will focus on supporting the continued growth of Baerlocher’s PVC customers in EU/MEA.

The laboratories will have the full analytic and R&D capabilities necessary to deliver products and solutions, as well as application services, mimicking exact customer processes.

This investment will place critical technical services alongside the company’s production facilities, creating synergies with existing facilities and resources.

“We have decided to place critical laboratory services at our key EU/MEA facilities. Having such state-of-the-art facilities alongside our production processes will allow us to build on our already strong speed of response. In addition, it will increase our ability to innovate, develop and modify at industry leading levels, supporting regional key customers across all applications”, explained Arne Schulle, CEO Baerlocher Group of Companies.

“We have seen rapid growth since the construction of our site in Akhisar. This latest investment continues our commitment in supporting the local market, whilst also providing critical expert services and support to the wider regional EU/MEA business”, highlighted Mustafa Ataman, Managing Director of Baerlocher Kimya Turkey.

“This expanded facility in Lingen will allow us to continue at speed our innovation programme for the (many) various Polymer and non-Polymer markets that we are heavily engaged with. Converting ideas into complete solutions for our customers will certainly be accelerated by this investment”, said Andreas Holzner, Head Business Unit Special Additives.
