Grease and Oil

  • Outstanding gelling
  • Good hydrophobic properties
  • High swelling capacity
  • Suitable for dropping points up to 200 °C
  • Highly cost efficient

Metal soaps are an interesting category of chemical products because depending on the application, they have the ability to manage complex tasks. For example, they can form a sponge structure, which prevents the "bleeding" of oil from the viscous grease in the production of lubricating grease.

Based on their effective gelling properties, aluminum and lithium soaps are often used as thickeners in the production of lubricating greases for use in the building, automotive and machinery sectors. They influence the consistency of greases and subsequently their dropping point.
