At Interplastica 2017, Baerlocher celebrates comeback of Russian plastics industry

From January 24-27, the Interplastica 2017 opened its doors for representatives of the plastics industry in Russia and the CIS region. Some 800 companies from 33 countries presented innovations in the SAO Expocenter in Moscow. Following a difficult period due to the political and economic situation, the trade fair was able to achieve a significant increase in visitor numbers. 23,000 experts from all over Russia and the neighboring countries including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, and Belorussia attended the show – 2,100 more than in 2016. For Baerlocher, the show was highly successful. The majority of visitors at Baerlocher´s booth represented the window and technical profile sector, followed by the cable sector, discussing existing or future projects. Last year, Baerlocher actively promoted the change to sustainable Calcium-based stabilizer systems in Russia. As a result, manufacturers of window and technical profiles were eager to learn how to master the change – one of their key challenges in 2017. The cable industry in Russia started the conversion about three years ago and manufacturers are successfully using Ca/Zn stabilizers for a range of applications. Traditionally, Baerlocher has a strong market position in Russia and the CIS region and maintains a status as one of the leading plastic additives suppliers for a variety of applications and industries. The product range is complemented by a fast and competent technical service. Customers in Russia benefit from Baerlocher´s production plant in Turkey, which went on stream in 2015. Many visitors at the booth respectively emphasized the smooth supply of the Russian market.
