Efficiency and quality in the focus of visitors at Baerlocher´s booth at Chinaplas 2017
After four very successful exhibition days, Chinaplas 2017, the largest plastics and rubber show in Asia and the second largest in the world following the K show in Germany, concluded on May 19. The fair took place in Guangzhou in Southern China and occupied an exhibition area encompassing about 250,000 square meters. The number of visitors increased by 4.5 percent over Chinaplas 2016, setting a new record. Titled “Greenovation for a Smart Future,” the event was a perfect networking platform for the 3,400 exhibitors and the 155,258 visitors from all over the world. Baerlocher China’s new booth, inspired by the company’s booth at the K show in 2016, was popular among domestic and foreign visitors alike. Baerlocher’s staff hosted a large number of meetings during the show, introducing customers to the advantages of Baerlocher’s products. The meetings also covered options to optimize production processes and solve technical issues, as well as the latest technical developments. The PVC industry in China is in the midst of the transition towards sustainable Ca-based stabilizers, and customers are looking for economical stabilizer systems. The Baerlocher product range fulfills the requirements of production and cost-efficiency in an optimal way. A dinner hosted by Baerlocher for its customers provided an opportunity for casual networking. At the show, Baerlocher China also celebrated the opening of its office in Guangzhou. “In light of the slower economic growth, the Chinese plastics industry now aims to improve the efficiency of production processes and the quality of the final products,” said Wilson Wang, Managing Director of Baerlocher Plastic Additives in Changzhou. “The manufacturers are in need of production and cost-efficient additive solutions that will enable them to stay competitive.” "With our global experience with Ca-based stabilizers, we support our customers in China, Southeast Asia and Australia very successfully in their transition towards sustainable stabilizers,” said Andy Jones, Global Head of the PVC Additives business unit at Baerlocher. “For our customers in the PVC industry, it pays off that we are one of the largest producers of Ca-based stabilizers and one of the most established suppliers in China. They benefit from our stabilizer solutions meeting the highest requirements.” Chinaplas alternates annually between Guangzhou and Shanghai. Next year’s event in Shanghai will be held in a much larger venue, the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC). The organizers anticipate an exhibition space greater than 300,000 sqm for the event, which would be 20 percent larger than Chinaplas 2016, making the fair the largest plastic trade show in the world.
