History Shortened Version
Baerlocher UK Ltd was established in 1973 as the trading arm of Baerlocher GmbH in the UK and Ireland. Consistent growth from its increasing range of performance additives for PVC, meant that a Technical Service laboratory was established in 1993. This was soon followed in 1997 with a new Production and Warehousing facility on a green field site in Bury, just 10 miles North of Manchester. In 2000, the company expanded its production investing in the production of granular stabilisers and upgraded the plant capacity in 2008, focusing on the future and growing market for Calcium based stabilisers for PVC. In October 2010, Baerlocher UK’s plant became the first facility of its kind in Europe to completely halt production of Lead stabilisers and has since focused upon efficient production and service to customers producing window profiles, technical profiles, roofline products, cables, flooring, sheet, pipes and fittings.
