Baerlocher continues to expand its manufacturing hub in Malaysia
Seremban (Malaysia) / Munich (Germany) – 22 May 2019 – Baerlocher, one of the leading global additives manufacturers, continues to invest significantly in its Malaysian subsidiary. The company expanded its Seremban site with an additional production line for metal stearates, a new warehouse and an office facility. With this investment of more than $10 million (U.S.), Baerlocher is preparing for further growth in the region. Baerlocher’s plant in Seremban, South of Kuala Lumpur, began production in 1994 — a milestone that marked the debut of the Baerlocher Group of Companies in the Asia-Pacific region. In Seremban, the company produces PVC stabilizers and additives for polyolefins, along with zinc and calcium stearates. Baerlocher Malaysia serves the ASEAN markets, South Korea, Japan, Australia and the Middle East. Stearate production capacity increases by 10,000 tons per year
Baerlocher has expanded the Seremban site over the years since its inception and is continuing this expansion with a new warehouse and an office building, as well as an additional production line for metal stearates with a capacity of 10,000 tons per year. The groundbreaking ceremony took place at the end of June 2018.
