Baerlocher Kimya awarded for outstanding export results in 2016

The Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters Association (İKMİB) annually honors leading companies in the Turkish chemical industry for their excellent export results. In the “Export Stars Awards 2016” ceremony at the Raffles Istanbul Zorlu Centeron on May 4, the association honored 115 members in 23 categories. Baerlocher Kimya was recognized for ranking fifth in the “Increase in Market” category, awarded to companies that have significantly improved export sales. The award was presented by Mehmet Büyükekşi, President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM); Murat Akyüz, Chairman of İKMİB; and Nahit Kemalbay, Chairman of the İSTOÇ Trade Center, to Mustafa Ataman, General Manager of Baerlocher Kimya. “The whole team at Baerlocher Kimya is very proud to have received this award,” said Ataman. “This success is the best proof of our decision to establish a production site in Turkey, enabling us to offer products in compliance with the high global quality standards of Baerlocher while meeting the needs of the local markets in the region.” From its plant in Akishar with a capacity of more than 40,000 tons per year, Baerlocher Kimya serves more than 28 countries, from the Middle East and Africa to Russia and the CIS countries. The Baerlocher Kimya plant produces solid stabilizer one-packs concentrating on calcium-based products in all relevant product forms. The site went online in early 2015 and is supported by a state-of-the-art application laboratory. Baerlocher continued to invest in the location in 2016, with an additional logistic center.
