The declared target of Vinyl 2010, the voluntary commitment of the PVC industry, is to monitor and implement the PVC industry’s efforts towards sustainability such as minimising the environmental impact of PVC production, promoting of a responsible use of additives, supporting of waste collection and recycling schemes, and encouraging the dialogue between all target groups involved. Vinyl 2010's activities include waste collection and recycling schemes, pilot projects, research and development, studies, surveys and other initiatives. All projects have clear targets with deadlines and objectives which are reviewed every year in a Progress Report. As one of the key players in the PVC industry and as a leading innovator in the field of organic calcium PVC additives, Baerlocher actively supports the objectives of Vinyl2010.
