
The foundation
The Plastics Additive Museum was founded in 1998, by the family of Dr. M. Rosenthal, in celebration of Baerlocher’s 175th Anniversary. The museum is located in Lingen, alongside the largest production site in the Baerlocher group of companies.
The museum documents historical processes relating to all plastics and their additives. The aim of the museum, with both permanent and special exhibits, is to show the role that plastics play in our lives, and their great importance of additives in their production. There is a strong focus on PVC outlining discussion on its sustainability, aims to give visitors an objective view on this versatile polymer.
