Baerlocher Malaysia celebrated
its 20th anniversary
On October 18th 2014, Baerlocher Malaysia reached an impressive milestone in its history by celebrating its 20th anniversary. The plant in Seremban, the capital of the Malaysian state of Negeri Sembilan, started its first production in 1994. This historical moment was celebrated in a festive event for customers, distributors from all across the continents, business associates and employees. The event was also attended by executives of the Baerlocher Group – Arne Schulle, CEO of the Baerlocher Group of Companies; Andy Jones, Head of the Global Business Unit PVC Additives; Andreas Holzner Head of the Global Business Unit Special Additives and the Global Production Coordination; Rainer Grasmück, Head of the Business Unit PVC Additives – Asia & Americas, the Baerlocher Malaysia Directors and colleagues from Baerlocher GmbH.  The visitors were invited to view the plant and were given a detailed tour around the production site to see how the location evolved over the years. All attendees were impressed not only by the production and the state-of-the-art warehouse, but also by the fully equipped analytical and application laboratory. “After visiting the plant of Baerlocher Malaysia, I feel even more encouraged promoting Baerlocher products in the Vietnamese markets”, mentioned Mr. Siew from Vietsieu Trading (distributor) as representative feedback regarding the production site. After the tour the guests were treated to a luncheon at one of Seremban’s oldest Clubs, the Royal Sungai Ujong Club. The event took its grand finale in a festive dinner at the Pullman Lakeside Hotel in Putrajaya, close to the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur. The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful landscape and gives a glimpse of the administrative centre of Malaysia and its unique architectural designs. After a warm welcome from Malpaso Cheng, Managing Director of Baerlocher Malaysia, he expressed his thanks for the recent successful years to the employees of Baerlocher Malaysia, stake-holders and the Global Management Committee and pointed out that Baerlocher Malaysia is one team with one goal. In his speech, Mr. Arne Schulle, CEO of the Baerlocher Group of Companies, thanked Malpaso Cheng and the whole Baerlocher Malaysia Team: “I am extremely proud of Baerlocher Malaysia’ s achievements. The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago and the second best time is now. Mutual respect, integrity as well as excellence shall be our guide for our future development.” In addition Mr. Schulle and Mr. Cheng honoured six long serving employees with an award and congratulated them for their great efforts over the last twenty years working for Baerlocher Malaysia. During the dinner, the guests were entertained by fascinating dance performances showing the rich multiracial culture of Malaysia. Moreover, the godfather of Malaysian stand-up comedy, Mr. Harith Iskander, made the audience collapse with laughter with his unique and very engaging comedy show.
